Our story began on December 15, 1952, when Captain Albert von Appen founded Ultramar with the purpose of providing maritime agency services to Hamburg-Amerika Linie and Norddeutscher Lloyd.
From the very beginning, we have specialized in services related to international trade, with a strong focus on maritime agency and shipping line representation.
Over the years, the company has experienced solid growth, both across different business segments and geographically, maintaining a strategic focus on the Americas while expanding our presence into Northern Europe and Asia.
